It seems like yesterday that I had an interview to join The Pioneer, and thankfully, I became the editor-in-chief of The Pioneer this semester. Thanks to the team members who always encouraged me, I was able to seep into The Pioneer and learn a lot. I know that humans cannot be perfect, and I think team members exist to fill each other's shortcomings. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank my team members for always giving me good inspiration and feedback.

It has been more than a year since COVID-19 has spread worldwide. We haven't gotten away from COVID-19 completely yet, but as always, we'll find our own way and overcome it. In March 2020, due to the reorganization of the sections in The Pioneer, the staff worked hard to adapt to the changed ways. However, it was difficult to reach many students due to the wall of untact classes. Nevertheless, The Pioneer, as always, will work out a better way.

The contents of this volume:
In the [MANNADA, GNU] section, we interviewed members of Gyeongsang National University's animal rights club, "Warning." Through the activities and interviews of the club "Warning," we want to highlight the need for animal rights to be protected in a society where animals and people coexist.

In the [BODA, TWENTIES] section, we want to introduce "Metaverse" technology, which has become more popular in the non-face-to-face era due to COVID-19, to students through the reporter's experience story and interview with an expert. Also, we will share the production story of Jinju City’s character, "Hamo," which is currently gaining popularity on SNS, and discover the message Hamo wants to convey.

Finally, in the [SALDA, TWENTIES] section, we explore the reality of "Platform labor," a job in which demand increases despite the chaos caused by COVID-19, and we report the thoughts of our school students about it. We also address some of the problems and solutions of "Fast fashion" that are commonly introduced by SPA brands.

In addition, The Pioneer wants to present a new independent event. Anyone can participate by taking a photo of The Pioneer's booklet and sending a message through KakaoTalk open chat.

My first time here as editor-in-chief is both exciting and scary. I end by expressing my gratitude in having you present on my journey from the beginning.
